Julie Teahan – Director, An Independent Voting Member
Ms. Julie Teahan is a Partner at Guidehouse, a professional services firm where she has supported a number of programs across the Military Health System and Veterans Affairs including many focused on behavioral health, traumatic brain injury, prevention, resiliency and recovery.
As a certified change management professional, she has extensive experience in strategic planning, training and development, marketing, instructional design, and workforce strategy. She holds a B.A. from Loyola University of Maryland and a M.S.in Applied Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
She is also certified in facilitation by the Association for Talent Development and has facilitated several design sessions from Generals in the war room to C-suite executives in the boardroom.
An accomplished public speaker, Julie has presented at national and international conferences and several academic institutions including Georgetown University, Virginia Tech, and Johns Hopkins University.
A mother of three children, Julie is a passionate mentor to working parents, empowering staff to make choices that optimize their personal and professional growth. She lives with her family and a menagerie of animals in Great Falls, VA.
She is an evangelist for the power of creativity and the arts for reflection, growth and inspiration. She is thrilled to be a part of the Help Heal Vets Family. “I once read a quote from Pablo Picasso that said, ‘Ever child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.’ I believe that-giving life to materials, reimaging something in a new way is something you should do whether you are 5 or 95.
