Sustainability
Sustainability Comes First
We are committed—as a business partner, an employer, a community member, an environmental steward and a value creator—to positively impacting our world.
Reducing Our Environmental Footprint
We repurpose materials from our partners that would otherwise end up in landfills and turn them into therapeutic crafting kits for our veterans.
What Sustainability Means to Us
At Help Heal Veterans, sustainability means ensuring the long-term existence of our business, our partners’ businesses, our natural resources, the human talent necessary to provide the products and services we provide, the communities within which we operate and the well-being of those we serve.
Renew. Reuse. Recycle
Our environmental policy seeks to ensure protection of the environment through waste minimization by up-cycling materials that are considered waste. We responsibly utilize numerous materials, mostly textiles, which are one of the biggest contributors to landfill waste in the U.S. By upcycling, less waste ends up in the landfills that pollute our environment at an alarming rate. Working with others, we aspire to reshape the way we work to achieve significant and lasting improvement and social outcomes. In a way, that also allows us to fulfill our mission.
We are open in in-kind donations of raw materials, models and other art and craft materials. To find out more, please contact us at info@healvets.org.
